The situation
An apparel and gift store serving Air Force Academy cadets, families, and alumni, where the catalog is not organized by product type so much as by identity: your class year, your graduation, your era. A standard store layout would have buried exactly what people came for.
What I built
A Shopify build structured around class collections rather than generic categories, so a parent shopping for the Class of 2027 lands where they need to be in one click. Seasonal and graduation merchandise gets its own home rather than being folded into the general catalog.
The details that mattered.
Collections by class year
Every class gets its own collection with apparel, drinkware, and accessories, plus a dedicated alumni section.
A graduation hub
Graduation is the peak buying moment of the year, so it gets a planning destination instead of a product tag.
Accounts and reorders
Customer accounts with order history, because families come back every season for four years running.
Built on a give-back model
The store carries a "you buy, we give" promise supporting cadet classes, so the messaging had to carry that without turning into a pitch.
