Terms of Service

These terms apply when you buy anything from Atlas Creative Design Studio (“Atlas”) throughatlasbranch.com. They are written to be read, not to hide anything.

What you are buying

Website design and development services, described on the pricing page and itemized in the quote you approve at checkout. The specific scope of your project is whatever we agree in writing at kickoff. If something is not in that written scope, it is not included.

Payment

• A 25% deposit books your slot on the calendar. Work begins after it clears.
• The remaining balance is due as set out in your quote — at launch for most packages, or in milestones for larger builds. The site goes live once the final payment clears.
• Paying the full amount up front earns a 5% discount.
• All prices are in US dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe.

The teardown

The $250 The Website Teardown is delivered within 3 business days of you completing the intake questions. If I cannot identify at least three substantive issues worth fixing, I refund it in full. If you book a build within 30 days of delivery, the full fee is credited against your project total.

Refunds and cancellation

• If, after kickoff, I decide I am not the right studio for your project, I refund your deposit in full.
• If you cancel after design work has started, the deposit covers work already performed and is not refundable. Any amount paid beyond work completed is returned.
• Care plans can be cancelled at any time and stop at the end of the current billing month.

Your responsibilities

Projects stall on content far more often than on code. You agree to supply text, images, logos, and account access in a reasonable timeframe, and to give consolidated feedback within the revision rounds your package includes. If a project goes dormant for more than 60 days for reasons outside my control, I may close it out and bill for work completed to that point.

Ownership

Once you have paid in full, you own the design and the code for your site, along with your domain and hosting accounts. I keep the right to display the finished work in my portfolio and to reuse general techniques, components, and know-how — nothing specific to your business.

You are responsible for having the rights to any content you give me. Third-party fonts, photography, and plugins remain under their own licenses.

Revisions and post-launch fixes

Each package includes the revision rounds listed on the pricing page. Every build includes 30 days of fixes after launch at no charge — that covers things that are broken, not new features. After 30 days, changes are billed hourly or covered by a care plan.

Care plans

Care plans bill monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. Included edit time does not roll over between months. Cancelling stops future billing; it does not refund the current month. Your site and hosting account remain yours either way.

Third-party services

Sites often rely on outside services — hosting, payment processors, booking tools, ecommerce platforms. Those carry their own fees and terms, and I am not responsible for outages, pricing changes, or policy changes they make.

Warranty and liability

I build carefully and stand behind the work, but I cannot guarantee specific business outcomes such as traffic, rankings, or revenue. Except where the law does not allow it to be limited, my total liability for any claim arising from a project is capped at the amount you paid me for that project.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. If a dispute comes up, we agree to try to resolve it directly before anything else.
